Cottage Meeting Group Facilitators Needed
All Living Lord Disciples will be invited to participate in group “cottage meetings” between Jan-early March 2025. Groups will meet one time only, according to what each group decides for a meeting time.
The purpose of the cottage meetings is to encourage all Disciples to come together to discuss the vision of our community of faith, and to share their experiences and perspective with one another about our vision for the next 2-3 years.
Group leaders do not need any special skills, only a willingness to serve in this capacity. You will receive training from Pastor Bev. Leaders will be assigned a group of 8-10 disciples to meet with in a group format, according to your schedule, and ask five specific, pre-assigned questions of your group. You will encourage participation from all group members and facilitate the conversation.
Note: Each group will also include a recorder. The recorder will pass onto the pastors, staff and council, the content of the group’s discussion. Staff will then code and analyze this content to determine how the congregation is connecting with our vision.
Are you willing to serve as a group leader?
We will require up to 60 volunteer facilitators for these meetings, as we hope to include all Disciples in a cottage meeting group.
Each group meets one time only. Meetings can take place at your home, the church, or a restaurant or other location. Time and place will be your choice, between January and early March. Church space can be utilized for these meetings.
